Picture from the History of the horrors of slavery in America. There was never a need for this evil.

What a painful claim from Sen. Tom Cotton that slavery was a necessary evil. I know he would have a different view if his family were black slaves. My imagination turns to John Lewis meeting Martin L King, looking at America with remorse, knowing that in spite of all their efforts for equality for their people, nothing has changed and racism is worse in America. I see no resolution ever. Our African Americans will never get out from under the hateful prejudice of the white race. This is a real tragedy in this great country.
