I share her story here. She is an ordinary young mother who writes about her experience of breastfeeding her firstborn son.

A married couple, they complied with all the shelter at home regulations during the COVID 19 instructions. The birth is natural, normal, in-hospital with no use medications. She delivers a healthy baby boy with no complications. This was the highlight of their life.

The little feller has been fully breastfed since birth. He is 16 weeks old today, a healthy, bouncing bundle of joy.

The Mom writes as follows;

“ I learned throughout pregnancy, a little about sacrifice. You abruptly lose a lot of your freedom to do whatever you want when you find out you are pregnant, & immediately have to start making conscious choices that are baby-friendly. If you are breastfeeding, that doesn’t just end when the baby is delivered. Yes, all mother’s sacrifice a lot, that’s in the job description, but breastfeeding comes with an almost extended pregnancy. You still have to monitor what you eat and when you eat, what you drink and when you drink it, where you are going and if you are going to be there in time for him to eat, where you’re going and if anyone is going to scowl…
