Truths about life
as expressed by Anthony Hopkins.
My favorite actor
Sir Philip Anthony Hopkins was born in 1937 in Port Talbot, West Glamorgan, Wales.
He started his acting career at 18 at a YMCA dramatic club; after graduating, he toured with the Arts Council as a stage manager.
He gained excellent training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1961 and graduated as a silver medalist.
Some of the most notable movies of Sir Anthony Hopkins are his portrayal as Joseph Merrick’s doctor in the Elephant Man, his role in the Hunchback of Notre Dame & Captain Bligh in the Bounty, among many others.
These three are memorable to me.
Despite his success & years of great reviews, when reading about his life, we know he fought battles with his self-destructive behavior with alcoholism.
