The child lives with kindness & consideration to the dog.

Oliver’s parents encourage him to be generous, kind, and sensitive to animals.

At one year of age, he feeds his dog and loves to take Leo for a walk on a leash in the company of his Dad.

Leo, the dog, is a boxer-mix. Oliver’s dad rescued him at around six months of age. He is five years old and has become a loving family dog.

Despite his high energy, this kid-friendly dog is gentle around Oliver.

Leo never runs or pulls on the leash when the boy holds the leash. The dog is alert & protective around the family. Leo shows affectionate behaviors. He loves cuddles. When he hears his name, he comes and obeys commands like, ‘sit, eat, lay down, and go to your bed.’ He is an indoor dog but loves to go for walks, and he will fetch his leash when Oliver says, “Go, go.”

It is comforting to hear the parents praise the toddler to let him know they appreciate him. Their comments & encouragement will shape his self-image & build confidence when he starts school, in the community, & later in the workplace & the world!
