Mom, Kitty Nug, and Oliver aged one year.7/2021

When the little feller, Oliver, came home from the hospital, Nug. the short-tailed domestic cat, sat in the crib, sniffing around the fresh bedding.

Dad shooed the kitty out of the crib and laid baby Oliver down in it. Well, whaddayaknow! Nug politely got back in the crib, sat at the foot of the bed, ‘kneading’ on the baby & purring softly. So that is how the parents allowed Nug to befriend the new baby. Nug adopted the foot of the crib as his territory.

When the baby cried or stirred too much, Nug would knead on the baby with his paws, purr, sniff, and lick Oliver’s head. The parents watched & loved it.

At night when Oliver would not sleep, Nug’s cuddles comforted the baby.

Oliver is a year old now. The family has a dog named Leo and another cat named Nancy. Oliver loves animals, plants, and flowers. Mom taught him to feed the animals & water the plants. Sometimes he tastes the kibble. Mom always has to watch & remove the kibble from his mouth!

Nug is Oliver’s best buddy. He is always at his side, playing with toys & snuggling with Oliver. It gives Mom time for her…
