Scenic Wonders Define a Rich Cultural Tapestry.

The Cemetary:

The area surrounding the buildings features a large graveyard that contains several tall crosses.

An inscription on a headstone at Cashel Rock at the ruins of an ancient cathedral — Ireland reads:

‘Remember me as you pass by
For as you are, so was I
But as I am, so will you be. So be content to follow me.’

Below this inscription, someone added:
To follow you, I am content. I wish I knew which way you went.

This magnificent site was once the proud stronghold of the Eóganachta, the legendary Kings of Munster.
