What is a drink?

In the United States, one drink contains 14 grams of pure alcohol as in

12 ounces of regular beer

8–9 ounces of malt liquor

5 ounces of wine.

1.5 ounces of distilled spirits,

2–3 ounces of cordial liqueur.

Nutrition value of alcoholic beer:

Alcohol contains ethanol produced by the fermentation of grains, fruits, or other sugar sources that act like a drug. Calories in a can of beer are about 154

Sodium 14 mg

Potassium 96 mg

Magnesium 5%

Carbohydrate 13 g

Protein 1.6 g

Vitamin B6, & Cobalamin.

I write about the addiction to alcohol from the bitter experiences of my family members, friends, & folks who were alcoholics. Some were closet drinkers, while others were misbehaving drunks in public, creating a spectacle!

I have much pity & empathy for people with alcohol issues, as my parents were addicts. And lo & behold! It was not pleasant to witness.
