The husband cries!
And I am fraught with emotion to see a man weep!
She is all woman! She gave up her career, took on her husband's name, left her home. Not only that, but she accepted all responsibility of wife & mother.
She has suffered through labor and dedicated herself to parenting.
There were many sleepless nights breastfeeding & comforting her little one, and yes, she could not do this without the help of a dedicated husband & partner.
Now she is having baby number two & their plan for a normal delivery became hijacked by an unfortunate issue.
The vision of seeing the husband so distraught tears your heart apart!
The labor was prolonged. Progress was slow at the Birthing Center.
But, then, progress became impeded because of the abnormal position of the infant's head in the birth canal. The larger diameter could not negotiate the birth passage.
The compassionate husband was beside himself. He felt disappointed, useless & hopeless. Her labor pains were intense. All he could do was support & hold his wife. Tears streamed down his face.
