Terrance was searching for the love of his life.

Terrance Flynn is a writer, teacher, psychotherapist, and contributor to the Wall Street Journal. He writes;

In the 1980s, he attended college at Marquette, a Jesuit Catholic University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

After being in the closet for 18 years, one Valentine's Day, he got desperate & searched for a gay bar.

Finding the place, he hesitated a while in the cold & then went in, ordered a drink, & joined "his people' as he referred to the ten guys standing around, chatting, drinking & smoking.

Then, while thinking that this was not where he would meet the love of his life, the door opens & this other guy walks in!

An image of a young Kennedy-look-alike from the neck up. But below the neck, "all blue-collar realness."

So the guy walked up to the bar & ordered a whiskey. Terrance stands next to him & also requests a whiskey.

At some point, their elbows touch & they strike up a conversation. What a wonderful male conversation ever! Terrance felt here is what he had been looking for all his life!

That is when he noticed the wonderful smell of chocolate - this guy smelled of chocolate! And the bar reeked of stetson, tobacco & rancid…
