The Confidence of Correctness!
Navigating Life When You Believe You're Always Right.
Twin Sisters:
Lorraine and Jocelyn, the spirited twin sisters, frequently engage in heated debates as they clean the daycare center after school.
They argue about whose turn it is to sort the toys, empty the trash, or clean the kitchen.
On Friday, I overheard Lorraine and Jocelyn arguing. Lorraine yelled, "It's your turn to clean the kitchen; I did it last week!"
"No, you are mistaken. I did it last week. You are just being lazy. It is your turn now," said Jocelyn.
Each girl insisted she was correct.
I sat the girls down and said firmly,
"When faced with the choice between kindness and being right, always choose kindness, and you find you are right."
"You girls have the lovely gift of sisterhood; cherish and support one another. Consider what could happen to your beautiful bond if something unfortunate occurs."
To my astonishment, the girls jumped up & both went to clean the kitchen.
In conclusion:
Hopefully, the situation is resolved.
