The Charming Fancy Rat:
An Exceptional and Endearing Companion!
Today at the Senior Center, Bethany entertains us with a show-and-tell about her pet rat.
Bethany is a spirited fourteen-year-old girl with a bright personality. She has a delightful pet rat named Lily, who has been the love of her life for the past three years.
Bethany says:
Lily is more than just a pet; she is a confidant and a source of joy for her. The clean pet carrier cage that houses Lily reflects the love and care Bethany puts into their bond.
Bethany says that each day is filled with adventures, playful antics, and little moments of magic, reminding them of the strength of their unique friendship.
As we approach, the faint scent of cedar shavings fills the air, mingling with the sweet aroma of hay. Lily’s sleek black and white fur and bright, beady eyes instantly captivate us.
My curiosity peaks, and I can’t help but wonder why she didn’t choose a guinea pig, which is often considered cuter than a rat!
Bethany’s eyes sparkled with enthusiasm as she talked about her beloved pet. “I love rats!” she exclaimed. “They bond with their owners, and honestly, they just love to cuddle!”
