Depression — It finally sunk in. This lovely apartment — the one I wanted to own for years — would not be ours. The owners were complete morons. Weekly we received cheerful updates on how things were progressing. (Quickly, too quickly.) And, oh — by the way — do you want first dibs on your condo?
