The same goes for dating apps. There’s much discourse about how these platforms make us sad and anxious. We discuss the harm of ghosting on our mental health. It destroys our self-esteem when someone swipes past us. But they also make us terrible. Treating someone like a disposable product is sad. What’s worse, in my opinion, is watching yourself shop for someone. You judge them based on the same superficial standards. You act like a psychopathic shopper.
