Sorry Klara, it is hard for me to advise you on this issue. I am an old softie! My sons-in-law & I have a great relationship. (I know they would not ask this of me) But if they did. I would give it gladly. Maybe the gift is to promote the boy's learning. I believe you should go with your gut feeling. Do what you feel is right.
