Is it a myth, or are they evil?

In most of their fictional appearances, crows, rooks, & ravens are scary birds. Various cultures associate them with death, danger, and evil.

Fantasy and Horror writings & movies depict ravens & crows as spies, Mooks of the Big Bad, or feathered demons.

In movies & pictures, we see images of crows & ravens hanging around derelict graveyards & haunted houses, associating them with death or as the servants of a death god.

The bird's sounds are ominous! Caws, hoarse croaks & clicks. They eat anything, dead bodies on the battlefield or hanging from gallows!

The raven is about the size of a hawk measuring 24–27 inches weighing 40 ounces, with thicker black, stronger, curved beaks than the crow's smaller, flat beak. Ravens are seen alone or in pairs.

The crow measures 17 inches, weighing 20 ounces. We see crows in large flocks.

A group of crows is a murder.

A group of ravens is an unkindness or conspiracy.

Science classifies ravens as crows and members of the genus Corvus. We notice the raven as the larger & most widespread crow species.
