We gain a better understanding of the founder’s ambition for the Quraysh.

Imam Ali taught anyone interested to learn about the Prophet and ideas of Islam.

Instruction occurs at a small Mosque in the city of East London, South Africa. The Islamic community in this city is well known for providing alms for the downtrodden & needy. Kindness and generosity are exceptional. A warm welcome for a meal to any visitor is the rule of this community.

The instruction is about the life of the Prophet Muhammad and the religion of Islam. We learn that Muhammad ibn Abdallah was an Arab businessman who had an experience that changed the world's religious history. He was born into the most powerful tribe in Mecca, the Quraysh, around 570AD.

Every year during the month of Ramadan, he would retire to a cave on the summit of Mount Hira outside Mecca to fast, pray & give alms to the poor.

His tribe, the Quraysh, had become rich by trading in the surrounding countries. Mecca had become a thriving mercantile city. The aggressive greed for wealth caused the loss of the old tribal values of care & generosity to the poor.

The Arabs knew that Judaism and Christianity, practiced in the Byzantine and Persian empires were more sophisticated than the Quraysh pagan…
