As he checks me in, I can tell that I am a great disappointment to Kevin. He works for a health maintenance organization and my presence in the empty lobby says that my health has not been maintained. Had I followed the instructions Kevin regularly sends me — nuggets of health wisdom about drinking water and getting exercise — I wouldn’t be standing here today with unmaintained health.
