People ask and want to know how some cats become rich and famous. I love to read and learn about these lovable pets and their owners.

Meet Tommaso! A four-year-old black cat! Once a stray on the streets of Rome. Tommaso is now the wealthiest cat, inheriting over $13.5 million from his mistress, Maria Assunta. He also inherited property in Milan nad Calabria.

Tommaso’s owner died in December 2011 at the age of 94, leaving the entire fortune to the kitty.

Maria Assunta was a property magnate in Italy. Assunta directed her lawyers to leave the inheritance and the task of caring for the kitty to the animal welfare association. However, others say the cat was given to Stephania by Maria.

Assunta’s nurse, Stephania, told reporters that the kitty cured Maria Assunta’s loneliness. She called the kitty ‘ Mio Figlio,’ meaning ‘my son.’

Meet Maru! A male Scottish straight cat in Japan. His videos have a history of 325 million views. Maru earns $180.000 annually since 2008.

Maru loves boxes. He attempts to occupy the smallest box.
