William Shakespeare in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

The term lavender comes from the old French word ‘lavare’ (to wash).

The flower represents serenity, grace & calmness. In biblical terms, lavender symbolizes purity, devotion & love.

For centuries bedding & pillows were stuffed with scented herbs, petals & grasses to aid sleep.

Victorian Era ladies favored lavender in their pillows for its sweet scent & to calm their nerves.

Lavender is more than a pretty plant. This fragrant perennial has been revered throughout the ages for its ability to breathe clarity and calm into every room or beauty product.

Lavender has been used as a remedy for insomnia, anxiety, depression & fatigue.

The herb is used in medicine to treat insomnia, nausea, fungal infections & skin irritations.

Lavender essential oil:

The lavender essential oil mixed with sweet almond oil has analgesic properties for minor scrapes & bug bites for quick relief.
