The Yakuza:

They are an organization tied to 400 years of Japanese history. They are not just the Japanese mafia but somewhat different. Their roots trace back to samurai-like rituals.

The name, Yakuza is derived from a worthless hand in a Japanese card game, meaning, 'good for nothing.'

They are a complex group of powerful criminal gangs & syndicates. I find it hard to understand doing evil on the one hand & good on the other. But this is what they believe.

In the Spring of 2011, Japan was devastated by the most brutal tsunamis and earthquakes in the country's history. As a result, the people of Tohoku lost everything!

But then help arrived! Seventy trucks filled with food, water, blankets, and everything the residents needed to get their lives back together.

The relief came from a group that most folks do not associate with good deeds! However, members of the Japanese Yakuza had come to the rescue!
