is a miracle!

I am fascinated by the gift of the human body and its unique abilities.

Let us look at bone marrow & its functions.

The skeleton is home to the most significant collective reserve of adult stem cells within the Bone Marrow!

Bone marrow is soft tissue present in the marrow cavities of all long bones of the limbs and inside the flat bones of the pelvis, skull, and ribs. Packed in the bone marrow are hematopoietic stem cells.

The hematopoietic cells are responsible for producing mature blood cells.

The miracle of these cells depends on the signals they receive, as they can become any of the cells in the blood, from oxygen-carrying red blood cells to bacteria-munching macrophages!

These stem cells are in red bone marrow with its rich network of blood vessels and supported by a range of other cells; the stroma.

The stromal cells provide the correct microenvironment for developing stem cells into the blood's components, making a range of growth factors to encourage cells to differentiate towards the right path.
