Mrs. Chowdhury’s Story:

We have a new Indian restaurant in our city, and people are raving about the delicious Indian curries. The lady’s group had dinner there yesterday.

They serve mainly vegetarian but also chicken curries.

The wife of the owner of the restaurant, Mrs Chowdhury, a lovely and gracious lady, joined us at our table to share ingredients in their authentic recipes.

While we were waiting for our order, Pamela told Mrs. Chowdhury about her visit to India six years ago. She said it was amazing to see the number of cattle roaming the streets of the cities.

Mrs Chowdhury was eager to assert that,

“Yes, in India, the cow is sacred. But did you know in the year 2000, many cows were dropping dead on the streets with huge engorged bellies from eating at dumpsters?

Some sick cows were examined at a vet clinic, where they were anesthetized to…
