If you doubt me, consider that this is the last norm left standing in American politics — not to tamper with the electoral college vote. The Trump administration has broken every other norm there was — with glee and abandon. Calling the press “enemies of the people”? Demonising whole ethnic groups? “Lock her up”? Calling for a third term? Telling the Proud Boys to stand by? “Joking” about Joe Biden being assassinated?
