Honor Thy Father!
I have seen endearing Fathers!
The Value of Dads:
The article Science of fatherhood in Scientific American reveals that children involved with Dads are likely to be more confident, forming better social bonds because they feel emotionally secure.
In addition, their educational outcomes, intellectual functioning, and communication skills are better when a Dad serves as a role model in his children's lives.
A study published in 2010 in the Journal of Biological Psychiatry reveals that the 'love hormone,' Oxytocin, increases in a Dad during the first weeks of his baby's life.
Dad gets oxytocin boosts by bonding & playing with the infant.
Fatherhood also leads to a decline in testosterone, the 'macho' hormone associated with aggressive behavior.
According to a publication in the National Academy of Sciences, the change in the hormonal milieu is more robust when the Dad is more involved with his baby's care, which creates a nurturing feeling in the Dad.
