Giving a Helping Hand.

I give back since I received kindness.

As an immigrant to the United States, I arrived in Texas with little except guaranteed employment for both myself & my husband.

The generosity of a nurse colleague helped me find an apartment & set up basic needs for myself, my husband & three children.

I will never forget their kindness.

Fast-forward, with hard work, motivation & perseverance, we secured the American dream of homeownership, schooling & college education for the children.

In later years, I invested in real estate. I would purchase older homes, remodel, rent out or sell if I found a lucrative deal.

Three years ago, I bought a property for cash and remodeled it.

Manuel, a 29-year-old builder/carpenter with employment privileges in the United States, completed carpentry work at this property.

He told me he slept on the floor of his co-worker's apartment & he was looking for a place to rent.

I intended to resell the property. Then Manuel asked if he could rent this house for his family, who he had not seen for six months. I listened to his story of separation, worry & sadness being away from his family.
