Dale Schroeder, a humble philanthropist.
He sent 33 strangers to college!
His Legacy will live on in the 33 strangers whose lives he changed for the better!
Mr. Schroeder was a humble carpenter from Iowa. He worked for the same company for 67 years, an ordinary blue-collar guy who grew up poor and never had a wife or kids.
Friends knew him as a frugal, hard-working man.
Mr. Schroeder saved up more than $3 million over the years. He had no living descendants, so he went to his lawyer with a plan for his money.
Because Schroeder never had the opportunity to go college, he spent his money to help 33 small-town Iowa kids with college tuition.
In return, Schroeder‘s request was to pay it forward.
The Dale Kids group honored the man who changed their lives.
Today, they are doctors, teachers, therapists, and friends who vow to emulate Dale’s philanthropic work.
Mr. Schroeder died in 2005. He made an incredible impact on Dale’s Kids to grow and make good on their promise to pay it forward.
