I am mesmerized watching the abilities of these magnificent birds of prey in action! They are the fastest, the strongest, the most agile & adept aerial assassins on the planet.

Documentaries on PBS & YouTube show these powerful, regal creatures.

I share what I have learned.

How is the eagle so adept?

Vision:

They have fixed vision; the eyes are too big to move in their sockets, so the raptor must turn its head to move around. Eagles & falcons hunt by sight. Their eyes operate at high resolution.

Telescopic eye,

the highly curved lens gives eyesight eight times more acute vision than a human eye.

The hooked beak is

curved for ripping flesh.
