Ideas for Finding Common Ground!

What happened at the meeting?

I hosted a luncheon for our volunteer group at my home for our monthly meeting. The women engaged in vibrant discussions, sharing their valuable insights and perspectives on our group activities at the volunteer center.

The arguments quickly turned political and became quite heated!

Immediately, Myra, Edna, and Rose displayed their emotional sides, attempting to intimidate the others with their persuasive arguments.

As the host, I called for order and attention and said:

“Ladies, lend me your ears,

We spend so much time and energy trying to control other people. We get emotionally affected by trying to figure out their ideas and behaviors, failing to realize we have no control over them.

We were not put on this earth to control other people’s actions. It’s not your job to analyze people’s behaviors and jump to conclusions about why they say or did what they believe.
