The 16-year-old teenage boy broke into a department store, stealing items.

The police apprehended him and asked the boss at the store to write a victim of crime statement to be read in court at the young man’s court hearing.

The judge read the letter aloud for the court.

In the letter, the boss offered the young man a job, and he asked the judge that the teen not be punished in the usual way.

The boss said he wanted to turn the boy’s life around by helping him, giving him a chance to earn a living.

The boy will work with other exemplary young men to show him a better path.

The young man was so touched he broke down & wept.

We applaud the boss for his kindness in saving the young man from sentencing.
