Today at our women’s Auxiliary meeting, Nelda tells us the following story:

A 70-year-old gray-haired gentleman from the Waikiki area of Oahu walked into the Na Hoku prestigious jewelry store accompanied by an attractive young lady.

It is Friday afternoon & the two are out shopping & on a dinner date.

He told the jeweler he was looking for a unique ring for his girlfriend. The jeweler looked through his stock and showed them a $5,000 ring.

But the man said, “I’d like to see something more special. She likes something more exotic!”

At that statement, the jeweler went to his particular stock and showed the gentleman some of his exceptional rings, saying:

“Here’s a stunning ring at only $40,000 & the only one in this style.”

The lady’s eyes sparkled, and her whole body trembled with excitement.

The older man seeing this, said, “We’ll take it.”

The jeweler asked how payment would be made.

Then the man, taking out his checkbook, said:

“By check. I know you need to make sure my check is good, so I’ll write it now, then you can call…
