Nature in all its glory! These birds are of several genera within the family Phasianidae in the order of Galliformes.
Habitat:
We find the silver pheasant in forests & mountains of mainland Southeast Asia and eastern & southern China, Vietnam, Cambodia & Hawaii.
Wildlife Services introduced these birds to Victoria Island in Nahuel Huapi Lake, Argentina.
Characteristics:
The bird weighs around 1–2 kg & a length of 120 -125 CMS. Their lifespan is approximately 15- 20 years.
The male is black & white while the female is mainly brown. Both sexes have a bare red face and red legs.
This species of birds are on the least concerned list of the IUCN.
