What! No brain? How do they live!

The jellyfish has a set of nerves where neurons are concentrated. It is a processing station for sensory & motor activity.

The neurons send chemical signals to the muscles to contract, allowing them to swim.

The nervous system detects light, vibrations & chemicals in the water. They have a sense of gravity to orient & navigate the water. Jellyfish are not fish at all, they are a dome-shaped invertebrates, whereas fish has a backbone.

Not only that, they have no blood, no bones, no heart!

Some Jellyfish are immortal!

The tiny Turritopsis dohrnii jellyfish has a remarkable life cycle; after reaching sexual maturity, it can revert to a juvenile state.
